About Trigunatmaka Traimurti Datta Aarti. This aarti to Dattatreya, who embodies Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh in a single form, is traditionally attributed to the Marathi saint-poet Eknath, whose compositions carry the signature "Eka Janardani" seen in the closing verse. It describes Datta as the formless truth beyond words, whom even sages and yogis struggle to hold in meditation, who nonetheless appears before the sincere devotee, grants a blessing, and frees them from the cycle of birth and death. It is sung during the daily aarti of Dattatreya, especially on Thursdays and during Datta Jayanti.
